-don't curl freshly washed hair.
-pin curl your curls (pic) and let it cool completely before taking them out
-make a concoction of hairspray and water and spiritz a tiny bit on your hair and comb it through before curling
-let curls cool before finger combing it

Thanks symone I know it's not my post but I never knew not to curl freshly washed hair maybe that's why it never works for me.

Tresseme has a curl activator spray that wrks for stubborn hair. I swear by this stuff. my hair stayed curled for two days and normally my curls only last an hr.

This is what I do with my Karmin Clipless and it might work for you. Put some light holding heat protectant spray on the piece of hair you're going to curl and wrap it around the barrel for 5 seconds or more. Not more than 10 seconds because you'll damage your hair. Then, pin up the curl and go on to the next piece of hair. Once the pinned up curls are cool, let them down and use a teeny bit of holding spray. Don't use too much product or it will weigh down on the curls and flatten them.
