I really want "peekaboo" highlights in my hair but I don't want to have to go to a salon to get it done. My hair is black so I would need to bleach it. I don't know where to begin to do this or where in my hair to put the hi lights. Tips??

It's hard to bleach black hair! If go to the salon too! I tried to bleach my black hair and left the bleach on an hour and it didn't work at all. It works with brown hair though

Agree with all of these ladies about going to a salon. It's worth the extra money to have the results you want :)

My opinion, go to a salon. Color correction costs a lot more than just getting it done right to begin with. When you bleach hair has to go through several color stages best left to a professional.

I'm aaall about diy but seeing the phrases "My hair is black" and "I don't know where to begin" I have to agree, definitely go to a salon. :)
