A couple weeks ago I started using a new acne treatment with benzoyl peroxide and I've noticed that it caused fine lines and wrinkles under an on the sides of my eyes, and the elasticity of my eyelids has gotten worse because they're wrinkly as well. so I stopped using this treatment. do you think the benzoyl peroxide caused these wrinkles? are they temporary? I didn't have them before I started using the treatment and I'm really distressed. what should I do?

I got these a while back when I tried proactiv (worst thing ever!). Just make sure to moisturize around your eyes very well and don't get benzoyl peroxide near your eyes. The skin is really sensitive. These wrinkles aren't permanent, they will go away. :)

It could be the benzoyl that's drying out your skin too much with no hydration to compensate for it. Just stop using the product and get your hands on lanolin cream and vitamin e oil. These will naturally help restore moisture and firmness into your skin. However, most of the time, when wrinkles occur they are very hard to reverse so you can do masks and creams to prevent it from getting worse, but unfortunately it's no quick fix to removing wrinkles. Hopefully this helped you out! All the best xo
