What kind of makeup are you interested in trying?
-If you would like to try eyeshadow looks, definitely check out "bh cosmetics," they have affordable palettes (under $20) with over a hundred colors in them! They're good quality and very affordable to practice with =)
-If you're looking to find face makeup, an easy way to start is with a BB cream or tinted moisturizer that fits your skin type. BB creams and tinted moisturizers also suit a variety of different skin tones so you don't need to make a perfect and very specific color match with these, just choose out of shades like "fair" "light" "medium" or "dark" and you're good to go!
-eyeliners and mascaras: there are many great drugstore brand mascaras out there! As far as eyeliner goes, there are different forms such as pencil, gel, and liquid. I personally like using liquid eyeliner that comes in a pen form- bh cosmetics has a great quality pen liquid liner that is affordable. Pencil may be the easiest to control when you're starting out, so perhaps the other ladies on here have some suggestions for pencil liners!
-brushes: e.l.f. has some affordable brushes ($1-$3) that are pretty great quality! I also have a set from bh cosmetics which I like to use. Its nice because you can spend a small amount of money on a variety of brushes that do different things when you buy them in a set.
-lips: tinted lip balms and lipstains are awesome! just about every brand out there has some available. They're easy to apply and experiment with. They aren't heavy, too "extreme," or hard to work with like some beginners may find lipsticks.
blush: I have had some great luck wiht NYX and elf blushes
some great brands that are great for starting out due to their great quality and low price point(bonus!) are:
-NYX available online at nyx.com, Ulta, Target
-e.l.f. available online at eyeslipsface.com or Target
-bh cosmetics available at bhcosmetics.com
-wet n wild available at wnwbeauty.com, Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, and most other drug stores

Thank you so much girls! your replies were very helpful. One follow up question please. Do you recommend that I wear make up everyday to practice this new skill?
