Both are great. If you are looking to save, Sigma is a great alternative to MAC

I have travel versions of both and was trying to decide which one to get full sized. I like the MAC one better. It's a bit more precise and I think it picks up eyeshadow better. The Sigma brush is fluffier, less tapered, by just a bit than the MAC. Also, I find when I tap the excess off my Sigma brush, much of the shadow comes off the brush so I have to redip again. I don't think it's a huge difference if you have decent lid and crease space. I have a smaller lid space so I notice the MAC with the slight taper works better for me.

The E25's bristles are a little softer as well as longer. Not to mention it has a longer handle. I own both it and a 217 and use both. :) I tend to reach for the E25 if I just want to put a wash of colour on my lid and use the 217 mainly for blending.
