So I don't use primer or toner. are this important? and would you recommend any?

Toner- you don't need to buy a toner. It's main purpose is to further cleanse the skin and restore the normal ph of it. You can do the same effect by splashing cold water on your face.
Primer- it depends on you skin and the product you're using. It's not necessary but it helps

Thanks! and if it makes a difference I use bb cream, concealer, and a pressed powder.

No I've never used primer! I've had some but it really didn't make a difference. And since you use bb cream I wouldn't think you need a primer.

Toner is not the same as splashing cold water on your face. Water does not neutralize your natural skin ph balance, it actually throws off your ph balance. Cleansing your face and washing it off with water disturbs the ph balance and that`s why you use a toner afterwards. I recommend Simple Skincares Toner or you can use witch hazel as a toner.
As for primer, you don`t have to use it, I didn`t for years but I have very sensitive skin so I`ve started using it. But it`s your personal preference, it just makes your makeup stay on longer and can help even out the appearance of your skin. It creates a good barrier between your skin and makeup.

Toner helps restore ph and also helps with prepping your skin for moisturizer so your skin can absorb it better. Think of you face as a sponge and your moisturizer/treatment as soap. If you just try to pour soap onto the sponge, the sponge will not absorb because it is gritty and hard. The toner acts as water for a sponge to help it absorb better. I use witch hazel to tone. It's a great toner for more sensitive skin.
Primer acts as a seal for your makeup. It helps smooth out the skin for before you apply foundation and should help with prolonging the wearability of your makeup. However, most bb creams have built in primers so if you use a bb cream, it's not a big deal.
