Look on youtube for how to tease your hair. I reccomend using a teasing comb, they have them at sallys. Also got2b has volume powder and it helps but you only use a little or you will look oily. Also salma hyaek has a really great volume shampoo at cvs.

When you blow dry lift the root and get the heat under the brush that helps me and don't put any products on your scalp it just weighs down the hair.

Don't use it on roots^
There are some more tricks I use:
if you use a blower, them blow your hair to opposite directions ( to the left and then to the right etc) and finish with a cold air jet
If you want then to straighten it , then straigtg only ends, or at least not first 5 inches near the roots.
If you just straigthen it then do it up to the ceiling:-)

Root lift spray when wet thru roots, blowdry your hair with your head facing down and after its dry and you still want more volume you can try hot rollers or even using your hair straightener in the root area by sort of gliding the straightner up and then out ( hard to explain ) and teasing/hairspray etc.
