I've heard that the Sonia kashuk synthetic buffing brush from target is really good but is still inexpensive.

Beauty Blenders are really good but they are so much upkeep and I hate having to go to the bathroom to wet it every single morning. I like flat top kabuki brushes as well, ELF has a nice one called the Powder Brush (I use it for foundation) for $3

REAL TECHNIQUES!! I am obsessed with them. They are soft, but not flimsy and a hair has never fallen out!
