And I mean like super short to where I only have an inch left by my roots!!! What do I do??? I have never had this happen to me until I let my mom convince me to let her stylist cut and dye my hair and she completely fried and melted my hair. Needless to say I'm never going back to her and I'm going to stick to doing my own hair. But I need help on getting it to grow back I want it to be long again I'm do tired of short hair

Condition condition condition. Also, try vitamins and avoid using heat on your hair. If you're growing it out that much, you'll probably want to get it cut periodically so that the shape still looks good, but other than that, only get it cut when your ends are splitting. My hair grew about 6 inches without a single haircut in one year, so this could take a while but patience is everything.

Breaking means your hair is dry and brittle use an oil hair mask
Just warm up the oil ( King coconut oil works well ) massage it into your hair and scalp
tie your hair up and wrap up your head with a warm towel... Leave for about half an hour and wash off and don't forget to use a conditioner
Warm oil will penetrate the hair shaft and nourish your hair
Hope this tip helps :)

Palmers coconut oil on your scalp!!!(:

This happened to me before, what worked to get my hair back to normal was the aussie moist conditioner, and the Aussie 3-Minute Miracle. Shampoo really did not have much of an effect, but the conditioners did.

Use gentle shampoo with no sulfates (Organix Awapuhi Ginger isn't expensive and works wonders). Joico K-PAK Revitaluxe ($5.99 at CVS). Those two things will make your hair a lot better.

I say cut your hair short, let it grow back healthy. I did this & am so glad. I did not have breakage, but after a lot of processing, it was just time to start fresh.

I made a video all about hair so maybe you can watch this > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptysXR-0y3g < and I hope it helps. x

try to avoid heat products for a while..seriously they only fry your hair more..also coconute oil helps hair grow and try biotin its to help your hair, nails and skin. also try products for anti breakage and deep condition atleast once a week. trust me my hair grows fast bc of how well i take care of it even when i dont get it cut often. i always use leave in conditioner after i wash my hair, and i rarely use heat products to my hair or gel or mouse.

I agree Conditioner should be your best friend I'm repairing my hair and I'm using the Living Proof Restore Mask Treatment and I've noticed such a difference less breakage more hydration it's worth the money

I used the Aussie 3 minute miracle when this happened to me, I dyed my hair as exactly the same happened. The 3 minute miracle really is a miracle and also try moroccan oil, it really hydrates the hair :)

I have been a hair designer and product development consultant for 35 years.

I get this constantly, that and dry hair. My job is to seek out issues like this to help people. I use Google Alerts and get information daily.

All of you are relying on hair products to solve your issues. ALL hair products are water soluble and only help for 2 to 3 hours until they either dissipate or dilute depending on the climate. Watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h10jJkrfaJA.
Dryness is usually caused by abuse or a problem internally. If not abuse, see a doctor and have a check up.

There is only one hair product that is waterproof or non-water soluble that locks in the essential moisture and conditioners from shampoo to shampoo. Go to www.sabinohair.com for more info.
