So, I've never used hard candy, and I recently purchased the eyelid primer with a baked eyeshadow and a sparkly eyeliner, so I was wondering what you ladies thought about this product. I've only ever heard good reviews, but nothing ever was extremely assuring...or negative.

I love Hard Candy. I have a few of their plumping lip glosses (I love how they feel), baked bronzer in Tiki (great highlight), face primers, baked blush & their face illuminators.

I've never used those particular products, but I'm generally a fan of Hard Candy. however, I have used one product that irritated my skin quite A bit, I believe it was the high definitely eye shadow. but I would generally recommend them for a colorful low end alternative :)

@Atiyah are their face primers good. I have heard that their concealer is really good.

I've never used those products but from all of the ones I've tried, I love em all. well I've only tried the face primer, glamoflauge, and liquid illuminator in the bronze color. the primer was nice but I didnt notice a huge difference without it but I don't care for face primers much since most have silicones. the liquid illuminator is awesome and you can even wear it on your body.

what I REALLY love is glamoflauge concealer. it is amazing. flawless coverage and only like 6 bucks! and it lasts forever since it's a heavy duty concealer so you only need a little. It's my fav concealer I've tried and compares to higher end brands. only negative thing about it is that it doesn't come in many shades :( but light medium for me fits just right. lol I don't think I can stop raving about this product

Glamouflage is definitely worth the money (:

Yes I have the ones in the white bottle & the pink bottle. I had the glamoflage concealer & it broke me out something serious, so I returned it after one use.

I almost always check ingredients before putting anything on my face but neglected to do so with this concealer... I just looked now out of curiosity and it has petroleum in it :/ I don't think it's the best thing for my face but I haven't broken out because of it so maybe I should keep using it? lol maybe it was one of the ingredients that broke you out, Atiyah!

I really like their bake bronzers, lipglosses, colored mascara, and loose eyshadows.
I do have some of their baked eyeshadows, and they're a meh for me.
I don't like their (black/normal) mascaras, primers, foundations, and the glamoflage concealer. The primer for me didn't help with any of my foundations. The foundation color range and undertones were a real hit and miss for me. I have a neutral undertone, so the one foundation I picked was way too yellow even in the lightest shade. It also didn't work well with my combo skin. Also, the glamoflage was too ashy for me. The color range lacks in general. It mostly highlighted my pores than hide them. The mascara flaked off and showed in the lower corners of my eyes, but the colored mascara didn't. Something with the formula.
I have a love hate relationship with Hard Candy lol

Their baked shadows get really good reviews but the bronzer, liners and other products fall flat for me personally. they don't blend well and no matter what you do the color goes on blotchy. for eyeshadows you can tell a good one by looking at the ingredient list. if the first product on there is talc then pass on it. talc is transparent and that means that the product contains more of it then anything else which means less pigmentation. the first ingr. is the most amount in the product fyi. you want tit. dioxide or mica to be the first ingredient. zinc stearate also gives you a grey look so those products will make you look ashy and kinda dead so choose those ones wisely. Carmine by the way is crushed up beetles. just thought you may want to know that before you go using any red product with that in it. gross huh?

I will highly suggest their mascara topcoats, I have the teal, purple, and gold ones and they are FABULOUS!

Audra,Talc is pretty much the main ingredient for this brand, which is why they are drugstore quality and price. Yet, there's a lot of high end brands using Talc as well. Carmine is the LEAST of your worries when it comes to makeup, let alone food products. lol
Danni, I've got the glitter top coats in black and pink, and I really like those, too!

@ jaime, oh tell me about it! What in your opinion is the worst makeup ingredient to stay away from? I went out and bought a kit from coastal scents a while back on how to make your own mineral makeup and thats what started it all. Apparently vegan makeup isnt necessarily vegan, organic makeup is just a label ploy to get you to pay more and so on.

Wow...thanks, ladies! this has been a real eye opener. as a med student, I did know some of the things mentioned, but not all of them. I never would have thought about ingredients. I did know about the beetles thing and organic thing, beetles are supposed to be beneficial sometimes, but they also might not be properly cared for, so I'm really careful with even pink. also, I will never in my entire life wear anything with collagen. its unborn babies. considering I'm going to be a high risk obstetrician, this really gets to me sometimes. but, what they use for makeup you wouldn't believe sometimes. I just found out what steroids actually are in lecture today, and I was surprised. keep learning everyday:) I appreciate you all! stay brilliant!
