I do everything she says, take my medicine and my skin still breaks out. I am getting married this fall and my skin looks ( it has looked worse) bad! BUT I also am a full time makeup artist and it really sucks when you make other women look so beautiful and help them with there skincare routine but as for me ITS A TOTAL FAIL. :( I do not know what to do...and my dermatologist said it wouldnt be wise going on birthcontrol because it could get wayyy worse. :( she doesn't seem. REALLY.

Ugh Sarah that stinks! yes birth control could make it worse but certain ones could help. because your getting married so soon I wouldnt try it now. did she put you on a retin-a? I really like Paula's choice she has a line for acne. a lot of Aha's and Bha's. again though changing up a skincare routine and trying out new products so close to your wedding is not a good idea. how about some blue light treatments helps to kill the bacteria no side effects that I know of.

I'm not an expert but I personally would not chance the birth control. have you used alpha hydroxy acids before? both that and the bha 9 in the Paula's choice line I did not have anykind of bad effect from. actually helped with any acne and discoloration. its cutting it close but I would see about slowly introducing them. if you go with that line I have to say they have amazing customer service and can answer any questions, also a lot of q and a's about all of there products on the site. as for the blue light from what I know of (have had it before) you have nothing to loose. you need to have sessions of it in order to get the maximum benifit many derm offices and spas have it

I had same problems with ugly breakouts.. I tried using erytop lotion n voil? it worked so beautifully.. My skin is clear n acne free totally.. It's cheap n effective n it just kills bacteria so no side effects I know of.. Works wonders in 4-6weeks of regular application. You can definitely try it..

I havnt tried that. I'd assume its related to doxycycline. I had been on solodyn for a month here and there and thought it worked amazing. try to stick w the retin a. it will help. if its to harsh you could mix it in with a moisturizer. little by little as your akin get used to it use less and less leaving only the retina. good luck I understand how frustrating and upsetting it can be. either way I know ul look gorg on your wedding day. congrats!

Try getting a gly/sal peel. It's good for acne.
