So I am a frequent hautelook shopper. Especially with cosmetics the brands and sales are amazing! On the other hand, the customer service is downright beyond terrible.
I've had multiple problems with them in the past few months. And I'm going to share them.
First, I ordered a package with items from the balm sale august 1st. I was soooo excited to get it! When I went on my settings it said that the order was going through and would let me know when it was sent and would be recieved around august 20th
By august 20th not only did I recieve no email of it shipping but I didnt recieve my package! There was absolutely no updating me on how long my item which was supposed to be here, and even no email apologizing and explaining why my order was delayed.
I got an email late that night saying that my order was shipped and that the date it will be recieved is august 24th.
Here I am on the 27th and I still sont see a package. I was soo excited to get the balm jovi palette, but now I'm just antsy for it to get here!
But wait it doesn't end there.
This thursday, I was looking at the tarte sale. I have been lowering my makeup budget to save money for IMATS so I was not going to get anything I just wanted to compare to what I paid so I put two things in my cart to see the total. Well clumsy me dropped my phone and as I picked it up I ACCIDENTALLY PRESSED THE BUY NOW BUTTON!
Like how ridiculous is that? ANYBODY can go on your app on your phone and just buy whatever, there should seriously be a "are you sure you want to buy this?" Or "enter your password here to continue" like I cannooot be the only one with that issue.
Lastly, after making this accidental purchase I emailed them right away and did I get a response? Heck no.
I am so appalled and I can tell you I will never shop there or nordstroms again. Which is sad because I've been a hautelook fan for a while so they'll lose a valued customer.
Has anybody had any of these problems again?

Actually this happened to me when I was buying my mom a kate spade wallet!! It was like way past the deadline to come, no emails either!! When I got it IT WAS RAN OVER BY LIKE A CAR!! Lol the box was all messed up and there were TIRE TRACKS!! Like wtf!! But the wallets in good condition!! Lol
Online and delivering sucks ass now!!

I love hautelook too but I agree! I don't like the buy now option either. I've come close to pressing it by accident more than once. It's very silly and unpractical. I definitely think you should just call them and talk about it since they're just ignoring the emails. Hope it all turns out well!

Its reall stupid cause my friend ordered stuff online for my bday and it was a different mailing company and it was in PERFECT condition!! So the mailing company is pretty much to blame and the customer service!!

Jacqueline I've had good experiences with them, and the items they have is great. But this does NOT make there horrible customer service and unethnical ways right.
Omg lily thats even worse than hautelook cuz you got it for retail price, and kate spade is not cheap.

I also ordered something from the Balm at Hautelook once. I've only ordered like 3 things from there and the other 2 things came quickly but the Balm product took like a month and so I chatted with customer service on their website and they checked it for me and eventually it arrived. Maybe the Balm just has issues? I'm not sure. Hope you get your product.

Sloane same thing for me?! thinking it was the balm. I had to wait a whole month too and I also chatted with them online and they answered my questions well....I'm just so inpatient!! but my balm nude tude palette came in just fine. other than the wait I was quite happy... but maybe it was the balm products??

Also this is super importat. A few months back I emailed the balm directly while they were having their new site 50% off sale. The site crashed due to more people on it than they expected and they were SOOO responsive I was extremely impressed.
In the middle of the chaos I emailed them asking how much the shipping was to canada and they got back to me within 4 minutes.
If the balm was able to do so you'd think a highly respected company such as hautelook which might I add is OWNED BY NORDSTROMS would be at least a biiit responsive

I've had lots of problems with Hautelook. Awful customer services, shady practices and rude, unresponsive people. It took me about 2 months to get a few of my back orders squared away that they shipped to the wrong address. The shipments were returned by the post office and they tried to charge me for the shipping both ways. WHAT!?!? They are awful.

Like I mean they're a highly respected company. My friend had an issue with occ and they sent her the one she ordered (free international shipping) AND two to apologize for the mixup.
But it saddens me that hautelook is owned by such a well praised company and yet they are terrible to their customers.

Yeah, their shipping is ridiculous. I ordered some stuff from the Urban Decay blowout and I swear I didn't get it until like a month and a half later! It's ridiculous.
