What is it for and what do you recommend is the best one to buy?

It's called a blemish balm, and in all honestly the American renditions of them are basically just tinted moisturizer. They're great for people who want natural coverage but still wanna hide redness and small blemishes. I personally love it especially for day time use. My favorite out of all the ones I've tried, and I've tried a lot, has to be the Garnier one. It's very natural and stays all day, and has the most coverage out of all of the ones out there. Just make sure you check weather it's marked for oily skin or not. The one for dry skin is a lot greasier feeling which helps when trying to hide dry patches.

I personally don't like bb creams. To me Bb creams are like those 2in1 shampoo and conditioner. Ones going to clean ok and ones going to condition ok but they're not going to work as well as having one shampoo and one conditioner that actually concentrates on the specific problem.

The aestern ones are just like tinted moisturizers but the proper original korean bb creams do have skin benefits with good coverage how a bb cream SHOULD be. So technically what I'm trying to say is that mixing a foundation with some moiaturizer conpared to western bb creams are pretty much the same thing. I actually use the wet n wild coverall cream foundation mixed with my cetaphil moisturizer and feels and does what the western bb creams do if you were to buy them. However if you are interested in buying one, the maybelline dream fresh bb cream is amazing for dry skin and the garnier bb cream for oily/combo skin is excellt for the skin type mentioned. :)

Maybeline bb cream. It covers without looking thick, like a foundation

Bb creams are basically foundation, sunblock, and primer all in one [some claim to function as concealers]. It was originally developed in S. Korea for covering surgery scars but gained popularity due to its simple usage and great coverage. Some come with functions such as doubling as a moisturizer or give your skin a healthy glow. I use Holika Holika clearing bb cream or sometimes Missha. I usually use Korean or Japanese brand ones because they tend to actually do their job without a bank breaking price. There are some western ones that work great, but they're usually $60+ in contrast to $10 Korean bb cream that works just as well.

I would recommend the garnier one (unless you are really fair) and the Maybelline one :) xx
