Any tips on starting a blog?

I am thinking about starting a beauty blog with things like makeup reviews, swatches and things along those lines but I know NOTHING about starting a blog, anybody have any tips?!

I use um blogger or blogspot. its pretty simple. just make the page (you need a gmail account) and it helps you out there's even an app:)

I like the blogger to go app for blogger more then the blogger app itself.

It's important to be you and let that show in your writing. Also, when it comes to writing it is an instant turn off for me if you can't write like you passed 10th grade English. Good grammar and sentence structure are important (to me anyway).

Other then that good quality pictures! If your swatches and photos are in bad lighting, it doesn't look good at all. This can be fixed with a photo editor normally though (like photoshop online or gimp).
