It closes your pores and if your hair is dyed the dye will last longer if washed in cold water

I thought this was about drinking cold water ahah. But I've heard it seals you hair follicles or whatever and makes your hair healthier. But while I thought this was drinking cold water, it kicks your metabolism up a notch apparently to warm it up so amped up metabolism = burning calories :)

The cold water closes up your porse making your hair softer and shinyer ( this is normally after you finish washing it)

I heard that you can take a warm shower, just make sure your final rinse is with cool water (:

Cold water doesn't dry out your skin as bad as far as hair goes:
Warm temperatures open your cuticle. Therefore if you use hot water and shampoo, you're allowing that shampoo to get in deeper which is one of the biggest reasons for hair color fading. When you use cold water to wash your hair, you're keeping that cuticle closed allowing less penetration, therefore extending color. Also, the other ladies are correct in that it will make your shinier for that reason.

Cold water tames frizz, and if you have dyed hair it keeps it in longer. overall its healthier for your hair :)
