So I have color guard performances every Friday and we need to put our hair in sock buns but my hair is wayyy too thick. I had to roll 2 socks into one sock bun and the bun still wasn't big enough for my hair (and my hair isn't that long either). Yesterday it took my friend an hour just to do my hair,all for a simple sock bun. I love my hair but I just don't know what to do. Any ideas on how to make it easier to put my hair into a sock bun?

Do buns that only require you to twist the hair around and pin it.

You don't have to start that far up with the braid. You can get make a pony and braid the ponytail

I'm in color guard too, and I definitely know the pain of doing my hair exactly how they want it!! just try looking up some YouTube tutorials or like a ballerina bun? good luck and have fun, I just love color guard!!

Oh gosh! I'm also in color guard! And I have shorter hair and we also had to do a sock bun yesterday! We all did each others sock buns...I've never done one to myself...just go to sleep with your hair in a ponytail ready for Friday and it'll be a little more manageable...I know because I have thick curly hair.
