You can't make a mascara waterproof but I would recommend keeping one in your makeup bag just in case. not really good for everyday use but it really can be a lifesaver sometimes.

I think you should get one because you might need it in the future. For drugstore I recommend telescopic shocking extensions (blue one) and for high-end I recommend urban decay canon ball

Maybe adding Vaseline to it (Through a separate clean brush) since that counters water?
