Bleaching or coloring extensions is never recommended, the extensions are treated so a lot of times and bleach or other color can't break through it.

I'm not sure. I guess it's because black isn't a natural hair colour. Even though people think that people are born with black hair, it's actually an incredibly dark brown and if you compare black hair to natural 'black' hair it's different. So I think they had to do something to it. But I'm not sure

I would add heat like put Saran Wrap and blow dry or foil and flat iron. You could be risking ruining them but its not on your head so big deal. I'm a cosmetologist and I know black hair dye is difficult to bleach but can be done. With at least 40v. And you may not get it light enough for blue. If you used henna or crappy box dye it may only lift a level or two before breakage. Always use non permanent to go darker if you change colors. Blah blah. Good luck.
