Has anyone tried coconut oil for their hair?

Hey I was wondering if any of you guys have tried to put coconut oil in your hair? If so are their any pros and cons or tips you have for me? I'm trying to grow my hair a bit during summer.Thanks for your help! 😊

I love it. I mix in a bunch of different oils n leave in over night. Makes my hair beautiful. Plus it's very curly.!!

I use it as a sealant over my leave in conditioner and styling product. My hair absolutely loves it. My curls look much more defined and the shine is crazy insane. And it feels super soft.

@dani as long as its cold pressed/unrefined/organic virgin or extra virgin coconut oil. You want to avoid refined.

I don't find it hard at all to wear overnight. You of course don't want to wear gobs of it in your hair. Just braid it up after applying and you're good to go. Be sure to focus on the ends as well when applying.

I'm mixed so my hair is really curly. in the summer I stay nutural and chlorine and sun kill my hair so I saturate my hair in it before swimming or going out. it keeps my hair soft and shiny and damage free

My hair is naturally oily and coconut oil is way too heavy for it. I do use coconut oil instead of moisturizer and LOVE it

@sunny you can get it at whole foods, sprouts, trader joes, if you can't find it anywhere near you, you could try amazon.

I use the coconut oil made by that organic hair product company. I love the smell, however it makes my hair greasy. I do want to get pure coconut oil because I did read it gets rid of cellulite
