Hey ladies! Ok, so I love pink and nudey pink lips but for some reason the colors look TERRIBLE on me :( they bring out lines in my lips and never apply evenly! Idk if its my lip color or what. I exfoliate my lips every night so I don't understand why my lips look so terrible with pink on them! Anyone else have this same trouble or have advice!?

Maybe it's your skin tone? Maybe try more peach or more purple tints in the shade of pink and see if you have better luck!

Some colors just don't look good on certain people. I look awful in anything orangy.

I agree with Maria. If you have a darker skin tone (?) then a peachy color will have the same effect as a nude/pink on fair skin. The lightness of the color is probably highlighting the lines in your lips...there are some brands that are a really thick constancy of lip color...maybe more coverage would help also. Hope you find you perfect pink! xx

Every color looks bad on me lol but I don't let it stop me. If I like it, I wear it. But maybe you should mix lipsticks to make your own color. I do that sometimes to get the right shade.

Maybe it's your skin tone or possibly even your hair color. It might not apply evenly because of the brand and quality.

Or you could put Chapstick on underneath :)

Try pairing it with a lip liner. Mac Angel or Creme Cup work on most ppl. if you dony like it try it with a cork liner also by mac.

It might be clashing against your skin tone. If you have a warm undertone choose pinks that are on the brown/golden/'warm' side. If you have cool undertones to your skin, look for a pink with a blue undertone. It's easiest to ask the ladies at the Mac counter or Ulta/Sephora since they prob have a better idea than us haha. :)

Also the whole exposing liplines deal is probably an issue w the lipstick itself. If its a very matte, drying lippie then it doesn't matter how much you exfoliate. Try a more moisturizing one instead. :)

I always thought pinks looked weird on me too but then I tried MAC creamsheen lipstick in Creme Cup, and Rimmel lasting finish lipstick in Airy Fairy.

Thanks ladies! I have creme cup, angel, dreaminess and pink nouveau. Maybe I'm in denial, but I honestly don't think it's my skin tone but rather the tone of my lips. My lips have a purple tint. I've tried lip liner and a lip brush but it comes out cakey and disgusting lol. Maybe I should've posted a pic!
