Translucent powder wasn't made for taking photos it was made for filming, so any powder you use will look chalky in a pic maybe try using less:) best of lucks X.

I'm shocked that the NYC translucent loose powder is really really good. Finely milled and helps my makeup stay for hours. It's like $3 so I don't know how you can go wrong haha.
Or try neutrogena healthy skin. It's natural looking and never cakes up for me.

I normally hate cover girl products however their "clean" pressed powder in ivory is really good. I find it gives better results than transluscent powders and doesn't give a ghostly look.
