When I had Tumblr, I got up to 40 followers in about a week thanks to awesome tagging system. Then I had nearly 100 in about a month or so. Since moving to Blogspot, I've had it for a month and have only gotten 22 followers. Comments is even worse, hahaha. I haven't had a comment for a few posts and a lot of my posts on previous blogs would not get comments, so...

Make sure you're tagging really well and interacting with your audience... questions etc. I find that blogspot is a lot easier to get followers than WordPress... though I haven't figured out why yet lol. Don't be impatient, you will get comments eventually. My comments drastically differ from post to post.

It can take a while, but you need to also keep regularly publishing content and engaging with fellow bloggers, I find if commenting on other blogs and so on you often get the same bag (including follow) and sometimes other blog followers will also check your blog out. Comments again I find if you comment other blogs regularly they will do the same :)

Can you get followers on WordPress at all? I've been blogging on there a few times (lol I move my blog way too much) and I could never find anything about followers.

I don't think you can get followers on Wordpress. All I have done is added the Bloglovin' widget and hope to get followers that way.
