Maybe you can just for a trim? Cut it short gradually because it might overwhelm you.
Most of my friends always (like 100% of the time) complain about their hair cut right after they chop it all off.

I would do it short bit longer than in the picture & maybe do it medium length w/ just some layers. :) it adds body & volume & still gives you that edgy short/long look. :)
