Hi I'm a therapist and waxing is much better! As said above waxing weakens the hair growth and hair will eventually grow back thinner and weaker and lighter whereas as shaving will make it grow back thicker and darker. It's super easy to use how wax but depends on where you want to wax. If you havnt done it before your best bet is to go and pay once so you can see it done professionally then have a go yourself next time in a non painful area!x

It's easy to wax yourself. Just do you research because bad things can definitely happen. You could experience bruising, skin lifting and burning. Also, research sanitation because Staph is a serious bacteria that can breed like crazy in those pots if you don't practice proper sanitation.
But after you research and study up, like anything else practice makes perfect! I love waxing but personally I prefer that someone else do it when it comes to areas other than my face just because its hard for me to get the right angles.

I got my legs waxed for the first time two weeks ago. I let my hair grow for two weeks prior to that... When I went in she said in some spots it still wAsnt long enough but I got it done anyways. The waxed I went to was supposed to be the best one in the area that I live in, she kept missing large patches of hair... I was not impressed. Also when I shave I can still see little black dots where the hair follicles are (my legs are very pale) so I thought this would go away once I got them waxed. The black dots went away but every hair follicle was red. It never went away. Anyways that was my experience with waxing, hope yours turns out better :)

Its easy. I used to wax my ex boyfriends back all the time. Just read the instructions on the package you buy. And make sure its not too hot before applying. Pull the wax in the opposite direction of the hair growth and you'll be good to go.
