I don't have a sunburn right now, but I've been wondering this. So, I am allergic to Aloe Vera. Whenever I have a sunburn, I never know what to do because whenever I do try to use it, it makes me miserable! does anybody know any other solutions for a sunburn besides aloe vera?

Find some sort of cortisone cream or aspirin cream at the pharmacy, they have a lot of good soothing creams without aloe vera. Suppress ice packs onto it and try not to take hot showers/lots of soap around the area. :)

April has a good idea. Also it is a little pricey but I've had the same little bottle for years. Go to a health/holistic natural store and ask for Emu oil. I use it to help with all sorts of skin irritations but if you start to peel it stops it immediately that's how awesome it is and a little goes a long way. I've never found that anything really takes the heat or sting away. Even aloe. But the Emu oil helps with all the problems associated with a sun burn! I love it, it's natural and it works like magic!

Here's an idea. There's a product called Dermaplast. I got my can of it, spray can that is, at Walgreens many years ago. It's an ultra cooling, numbing first -aid spray. It numbs the skin on contact and has an amazing cooling effect for burns. I always always have a can in my med cabinet. Idk tho if it has aloe in it but most definitely check it out.

This might sound strange, but if it really hurts yogurt is very soothing and moisturizing :) the fat kind is best. But first of all - wear sunscreen ;)
