2. With a brush or a sponge applicator, apply your base colour eyeshadow on the mobile eyelid and above the crease, about halfway to the eyebrows, blending slightly.
3. With a point brush/sponge applicator, apply contour colour eyeshadow all the way around your eyes, blending it well with the pencil line.
4. Half close your eyes and apply contour colour in the crease.
5. You will now need to define the outside corners of your eyes using a horizontal "V" shape. The position of the pointy end of the "V" will control the apparent shape of your eyes.
I don't know if this is any help, but hopefully it is!

Both set of pics are good, but first set is more of a smokey eye. Second pic is not what I'd call a smokey eye because the lines are defined and not smudgey. I do recognize that I have a more narrow definition of what constitutes a smokey eye than most people do.

I actually did a quick smokey eye on myself which I am actually really proud of myself. I took a light brown and a dark brown, I used the light brown on my lid and used dark brown in the corner and I blended. I finished the look with just eyeliner on the bottom. It came out really good!

I Absolutely agree with Todd and Jacqueline.I think a lot of the makeup definition's get mixed all the time and I myself can't deal with the mix of primer & base lol to different things to me but it gets mix with everyone. I do appreciate that you two pointed out the smokey eye look thank you.I also agree the first pic and the pic Jacqueline posted are great pics to follow to achieve what your going for Saiqa :-)

Yes, Jacqueline and Alma, what I wanted to say is that this second look is not what any MUA would consider a "smokey eye".

You guys are right, the pic I posted isn't a smokey eye! The part that looks a little bit like a half moon should be filled in and blended more. It's great that people on Beautylish can realise other people's mistakes and correct them.
