So I've been dying my hair since last summer with semi-permanent dye. It has no amoniac, as it says on the package, it only contains black henna or something like this. Is it damaging for the hair too?

I've bleached and dyed my hair over twenty times using semi-permanent manic panic hair dye. Yes it does damage the hair at some point after awhile bleaching does nothing the first time

I have never bleached it :) I just use it on my bare hair.

From my experience lea is wrong. the dye itself won't damage your hair, but bleaching it will do.

Dye does damage the hair depending on how much you dye your hair. Depending what dye you use and the hair type

Dye will cause spilt ends and dryness

It may, but I've never bleached it and I always condition it right after I apply the hair dye. My hair is still pretty strong and shiny.

It's not too damaging when it's only semi permanent. If you use a good conditioner and hair mask, you're fine :) However, I would recommend you change to a dye that does not contain henna. When I was working as a hair stylist, I often had costumers whos hair didn't take up any of the dye because they had used henna previously. I'm not sure why though...
