I heard that gel nails were worst for your nails than acrylics. I never get anyhthing that that on my nails. But I have heard that pre-natal vitamins help with nail and hair growth. Also, there are base coats that help strenghthen your nails.

I think there can be several factors with the soak off gels. First make sure not to have the crazy urge to pick them off this you will regret. Second be sure that when you are ready to soak them off use a good removal product not just acetone. I have seen a lot of dry nails from doing it more often. If you think a break is needed I use the critical care system by Jessica they have amazing treatments for all types of nails

Use hard as hoof, its great to help your nails grow and strengthen. It stopped all of my nails from peeling. It says you can use over nail polish but its most effective on natural nails.

Gel nails are WAY better for your nails than acrylics. When acrylic nails come off, they remove the top layer of your nails, however gel nails peel off with minimal pain and preserve as much of your natural nail as possible. I've had gel nails for about a year, and when a nail breaks it's much less painful than when I broke an acrylic. To get them removed, PLEASE go to a salon to minimize the damage to your nails, it'll also hurt much much less! I really like Sally Hansen Miracle Nail Thickener and Revlon Post Trauma nail treatment for after nails are removed.

Gel vs acrylic better or not is up to the person wearing them as well as the person putting them on. A larger factor-product quality. I have been doing the soak off gels on clients for almost 2 years I have worked with several products, lights etc. it all makes a difference. If you are not using proper removal products you will have to use good strengtheners. For my worst nails I go to what I call the ultimate treatment Jessica's nail cure duo.

Wow thank you guys! :) they are almost coming off so I will probably have to go to the salon or find a way to soak them off soon, but I'm going to try to find the jessica's stuff but I've never heard of it, thank you for the help everyone!

You can shop on their site or find a salon in your area who carries it. If you have ever had a french manicure you have Jessica to thank
