It was originally made to be used with hd cameras. It blurs the fine lines on the face in the camera and it gives the appearance of smooth skin, which is why it goes on clear...which is also why it appears white under the eye of it is not applied correctly. But again, it would only appear in the camera, not in person.

Also I'm fairly certain that it was actually designed for ppl who will be on tv. Hence the hd. I have also heard that it is pretty great for soaking up excese oils through out the day.

There are lots of different types, with lots of different uses. I was taught about this at a bridal photography meeting because it was a big issue when it first came out.

Another thing if you are planning to take pictures its extremely reflective so it can make you look white.

HD loose powder is ideally used when you're going to take a lot of photos. It helps your face look better specifically when taking pictures. Works perfectly with HD makeup forever foundation. I used it for graduation & I looked GORG. I was shocked.

Being book smart, I completely understand, lol. it makes perfect sense for them to create it considering photo shoots, runway shows, etc. to me it sounds like you should only apply it for special occasions such as our Christmas family portrait. thanks, guys:)
