Pink hair dye help!

So I want to dye my hair a semi permanent pastel pink for a festival but my hair is not bleach blonde (which it says hair should be) so I don't think the dye will take very well. I'm naturally brown but my hair is dyed a natural blonde that is quite dark underneath. Would I be better buying a regular pink hair dye instead of light pink and mixing it with conditioner to get a pastel effect? I've used a pastel pink toner on my hair in the past and it hardly showed up which is why I'm worried about it this time.

I've been in the same situation so if say go for the darker pink and you'll probably get a better effect :)

Thank you, I think I will do that :) It's such a waste of money when you buy dye and it doesn't work!

You could get pink extensions.

See how the dark pink goes, I think thats your best bet right now. when it fades, then you could always have the option of trying the pastel dye you have:)
