I'm 28 weeks pregnant and I still wear make up and use my normal skin care (facial wash and toner) usually it's more about the medicines your digest... of course some things that are strong in scents are potentially harmful chemicals should be avoided such as hair bleaching, chemical face peels, etc.and usually its the first trimester your doctor is most concerned about bc your baby develops all the major organs during those months! When in doubt always ask your doctor!!

I'm a mother of two beautiful girls and I wore make up through the pregnancy 😊 as far as I know it's safe :)
However I heard that it is better to resign from nail polishes and dying your hair. Some of them contains substances that are dangerous to the baby and may transfer to the baby through the skin.
It is also recommended to stop using any products containing retinols :)

Exactly what these two ladies said :)
There is nothing wrong with wearing makeup but there are still certain products (chemicals) you should avoid. HOWEVER there are safe substitutions for things like hair dye, retinol wrinkle treatments, and nail polish.
I wore makeup throughout my entire pregnancy and had a very healthy baby boy! And after a lot of reassurance from my doctor I was even able to find a healthy way to dye my hair.
But regardless of what other moms tell you, you should always always always do what YOU feel to be right for your pregnancy. And if youre unsure, don't be afraid to ask your doctor :)

Fyi for hair color, it's suggested not to do it while pregnant because the hormones can affect the color, it could not come out the way expected. I switched to more natural/natural products, I think it was the end or after I gave birth to my daughter. I learned about how the personal care industry is poorly regulated and how few ingredients are banned, especially compared to Europe. Real eye opener. Also salicylic acid is suggested against during pregnancy and nursing.
