I know the brand Pravana just came out with a line of pastel colored hair dyes... My stylist sent me a picture of the colors. Personally I have used the violet Pravana and it is beautiful when you first get it done but the color fades quickly, and not to lilac either. I'm not sure if I will actually try the lilac shade or not... I think some girls bleach their hair to almost white and use some kind of purple toner to achieve the ashy lilac look?

I had my hair bleached to almost white and used manic panic over it. it fades to lilac and if you mix a tiny bit with your conditioner to begin with you can get that right away but it will fade quicker.

Pravana is great but you can also use ion an if youd like it lighter add conditioner to it. the toner thing only last a day or two I don't recommend it as it can be very drying.

I usually mix my own lilac color and apply it over my toned to silver hair, it doesn't come out the same if its just over white... from my experience

At sallys ion just came out with pastel hair colors and has a lilac color, or you could dilute purple with the ion clear diluter!

Try the new ion brilliance lavender at Sally's. I use the basic purple and it's the longest lasting unnatural color I've used that isn't top of the line professional colors.

Purple shampoo left on platinum hair for a period of time always gave me a nice lilac depending on how long you leave it on your head. Cheap too
