Start from forehead/next to eye area and do a 3 shape with your brush! (To the cheek and then cheekbone) just defines all the right areas :) also, do a little across cheek/under eye section lightly.

I use a cream blush and just apply it to the apple of my cheeks and blend it out...it looks very natural:)

Usually many people say to smile and apply the bluch to the apples of your cheeks, but that isnt always the best place to apply especially if you have very puffy cheeks when you smile because than that can cause the blush to be applied down to far on the face! so the technique I love using is applying the blush the tops of my cheeks in a way so that it also contours.
