How old is your oldest gloss and do you still use it?

One of them would be Fashion Whim which I believe is over a year old, but it's almost empty now since I've been trying to use it up. It doesn't smell rancid to me at all so I believe it's still good.

mine is a year old.its from victoria secret.i have a flavored lip gloss fetishh.i might have about ten from all different stores.that's not alot tho, huh? how can you tell if lip gloss is old? is it still good to use it?

If a food has expired, is it still good to eat the food? No, hahaha. You can usually tell if the smell is off/turns rancid.

Probably my victoria's secret beauty rush lipgloss. It's not as old since I bought it last year, I always throw away really old ones or use up ones I already have.

I have a few older glosses like a bigelow one I want to say is a little over a year old and my holy grail gloss which is rimmels lip vinyl in snog. I have a brand new tube of it I haven't opened in preparation of the one I have opened already running out. Its pretty much on its last leg so I'll be busting it open pretty soon.

I try and stay pretty conscience of expiration dates but when its stuff you don't use often you don't always think about it. I have a REALLY old mac gloss that was given to me and I never really used because the shade is horrible. I've just kept it so I can back 2 mac it at some point when I have enough empties to turn in.

This question urged me to go look at my makeup collection to see and I'm sad to report that my oldest is probably about 4 or 5 years old =/ eek haha in my defense I could not even tell you the last time I touched the thing. I think this just says that I'm a makeup hoarder lol

Mine are about a year old now & they are in great condition. Like Rikki B. said, you can tell if it's gone bad, because most of the time it will give off a nasty smell. Sometimes it won't, it really just depends. Some have more chemicals in them to keep them lasting longer...kinda like preservatives for food. You kinda have to judge for yourself. I remember I used a 4 year old lip gloss (gross I know!!) and it ended up burning my lips, so that sucker went into the trash! It didn't have lip plumping ingredients in it & it has never done that before...so that's also a sign haha!

I have had MAC lipglass in wet wild and wonderful but i lost it for about a year! i finally found it and just used it again lol. It did not break me out or anything and the smell was the same. I just used it til it was over "/

I have a bigalow from B&BW cinnamint lipgloss that is like... three and a half years old. >.< Oh dear, I feel so ashamed. But I found it again like two months ago, and am really close to finishing the tube. lol It still works well and smells good! >.< Ugh, I feel like such a grosso now...
