There could be multiple reasons. 1) you're just getting uses to the sent. as a human, you stop perceiving smells around you after a period of time because your brain just tells you its part of the environment and there's nothing to pay attention too (don't worry it's probably still there) 2) your skin is dry and the smell isn't staying on your skin. if this is the case make sure you moisturize at least once daily.

Also if you're using an eau de toilette formula they don't have a very good staying power anyway. I always buy parfum formulas. They are more expensive BUT the scent literally lasts all day for me. I also find that the scent of a parfum only gets better the longer I wear it.

I worked in a perfume and cream store for a long time. basically, there are the levels of long lasting smell. body mist isnt strong, eau de toilette lasts a couple of hours, perfume and cologne are the strongest. you have to check yours...

When I was trained by nigel my lovely YSL fragrance trainer he gave me a lot of tips - basics: eau de toilette last about 3 - 4 hours when you spray it on skin, eau de parfum last from 7 - 8 hours and the tiny 7.5ml viles of pure parfum wil last 12+ hours.
when spraying eau de toilette or eau de parfume only spray it on the pulse points, basically when you generate heat in the body this will allow the fragrance to radiate from your body so people get a lovely whiff of it, lol. a good tip he told me is never spray it on your neck as it is proven to cause aging of the skin in that delicate area but to spray its in the middle of your chest as this is where most heat is generated because of the beatin of you heart, this will allow your fragrance to radiate the most and last all day, I use this tip all the time and even when I have sprayed the fragrance at 9 in the morning people still comment that I smell lovely at like 5 or 6 in the evening.

Perfumes now are often sold with shower gel/body lotion seperately. When you use both, the smell definitely lasts longer. We won't be able to smell our own perfume after awhile so its perfectly normal if you feel that it isn't strong :) Then again, perfumes are meant for people to smell you too! :) xx

Try putting a little blob of vaseline were you put your perfume and it'll help it last longer:) and squirt the perfume into your hair because hair is porous so it absorbs more scent:)

In my grooming class, my instructor told us, simply use a good moisturiser after bath, n then wen steping out apply light layer n l8 skin absorb again, n then spray your PERFUME on your pulse points lik elbows, behind ears, nape of d neck, wrist but NEVER ever rub the essence, it will burn the notes of d perfume..
and if its mist or EDT dn you need to keep on refreshing urself af8r couple of hours.. Hope this works:)

I'm not sure the reason why, but I know that if you get a lotion to go with it then it lasts longer (and moisturizes)

Apply some Vaseline to the "spritz" spots, it'll help it stay longer(:

Perfume is oil based and will stay longer than toilette (water based) try applying to neck and hair as hair absorbs and holds scent. Remember when applying to wrists do not "rub" them together but pat together so you do not damage the notes.
