DIY Shaving Cream. HELP.

Okay, so I'm making my own shaving cream BUT I want to know if it would be okay to use Pure Vegetable Oil instead of Olive Oil (bc I have none). And also which would be better; plain white sugar or brown sugar!??

This would really help me out. Thanks xxx

Try using conditioner, it works well, but you have to clean the blades well.

I have tried that but I have a skin contrition where my skin NEEDS to be exfoliated, and chemicals from the conditioner make it worse.

Hi Gracyn,

What an awesome idea! I would say likely for this recipe they are suggesting you use a thicker oil so using the vegetable oil may just make it a bit more runny. Also, definitely use brown sugar as it's a natural humectant so it will hold onto your body's moisture while shaving. Let us know how it turns out!  xo
