Once you dye your hair black it's very hard to go back light. So if you have any doubt I wouldn't, it took me forever to get my hair light again. But I think you would look really good with dark hair!

Listen, I made this mistake. NOT WORTH IT. I have naturally dark hair but I wanted it BLACKEST BLACK. Almost blue black. And after a few washes, I was OCD about spotting the slightest hint of brown in my hair. I'd run to the store and get some dye. It drove me crazy. If you want the "black" look... I'd just go darkest brown. It's honestly not going to be jet black like you may want it but in the end, you're going to want to change it up again. I always said I wouldn't want highlights but now I'm about to get them after waiting a whole year and a half for my natural color to come back. Trust me, black haunts you for life lol.

I LOVE DARK HAIR! I THINK ITS STUNNING. I was Dark for the past two years until recently im now red and it was very difficult to get to this color so you do have to keep in mind that if you want black hair you may have to stick with it for a while because it is difficult to get out, and lift to a lighter color.

Like what the Beauties above have said, it really depends on how long you're willing to live with it. I've been dying my hair for years and I've suddenly felt the need for some colour in my life. Lightening hair that's been dyed black can take ages and going really light blonde may be out of the question. So you might want to take that into consideration. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm not 100% sure I want black for a long time, knowing myself I'm gonna want to dye it a different color in a few months. Definitely going with a semi-permanent color!
Thanks guys!!!

Black hair with some blonde would be fantastic! Either highlights or even an underlayer. But black is hard to get out. Maybe the darkest brown would be better. With blonde highlights of course lol :)

I have natural dark brown hair but after changing hair color quite a lot for a average human, my natural hair color is now black. And also I have to dye black for school. Never liked my black hair because it makes me look like some Chinese ghost and it's hard to go back light so yes, I'd suggest the darkest brown like others!
