Honestly, they both look professional. I'm a working makeup artist, and I have the black one. I take the bottom part ONLY for my jobs because it gives you SO MUCH ROOM you don't even NEED the top part.
Clients are amazed with how much makeup it's able to hold and I can still manage to pick it up because I doesn't weigh as much as the silver one when it's full of makeup. Many artists I've seen get all kinds of dents in their cases when they're metal. Make the right choice and go with the lighter one, especially if you're going to be lugging it around all over the place!! Hope that helps! xo

To me the silver one looks much more professional and stylish. The black one kind of looks like any old ordinary luggage you haul through an airport or maybe even camera equipment. The silver also looks like it'll last longer. Go for the silver :)

I go for cases like the silver one for durability. My case has been put in some tight spaces and with hair tools as well as makeup, I'm glad it can't get crushed.

If you are going to be moving your makeup from one location to the other frequently, I highly suggest you go for the black case simply because it will be a lot lighter to carry. If it's just going to stay in your room, you could probably get away with purchasing the silver one if you like that one better. If I were you though, I'd stick to the black!

The silver looks like it may be better protection from heat/humidity that can melt things like eyeliners and lipsticks.
