I'm considering buying physicians formula cosmetics sometime soon since I've used mineral makeup in the past and it worked well for my skin. Any recommendations or dislikes with that brand? My skin type is combination dry and oily. I also have acne and sometimes my skin can get red because of my acne. I've never tried this brand before.

I have acne prone skin as well and this brand is one of the few that hasn't given me any bad reactions! I'm not familiar with a lot of their makeup but I LOVE their tinted moisturizer! It's perfect! Covers all my blemishes and evens out my skin tone. It's also extremely affordable!

I forgot to mention I'm very fair skinned. I agree Kaitlyn mineral makeup has worked best on my skin. An I have uneven skin tone. @Angel I have no idea how to use bronzer really but would love to learn lol. Thanks Shannon I don't like products with talc in them.

Their free powder is the best out there. I used to use it everyday when I had bad acne. It was the only powder that didnt break me out.

Thanks ladies. Yeah Ashley, the powder I currently use shows my dry spots and looks caked on. I don't want to look like I'm wearing makeup but I don't want to make my breakouts worse. An what I'm currently using is doing just that. I've.only tried their mascara Vanessa and loved it! Are their 3 piece kits any good? I looked at one that was supposed to be for fair skin but looked like it was more for tan skin.

If I look like I'm wearing a little makeup that's fine but don't want it to look caked on or like a clown.

@Heather I keep looking at their nude and smokey eye pallettes everytime I see it in store. @Dayna I love mineral makeup for my skin and once I ran out I couldn't find it anywhere. @Jennifer have got to buy that soon. Mascara is always one of my go to's for quick makeup.

Overall, I like the brand. It's the best drugstore brand I have used. I don't care for their foundation though. I used it for the longest time and recently switched to Bareminerals. It gives pretty good coverage but I am VERY fair skinned and even their lightest shade makes me orange unless I'm wearing sunless tanner. Also, I have very oily skin. I don't get a lot of acne but my face is still super oily. And when I wore any of their foundations if I didn't constantly touch it up or totally redo it... I was a disgusting oily mess. It would become coated in the oil from my skin and just smear everywhere and look awful and felt awful on my skin once it did that. So it was totally horrible to wear to school and work.
Now for the good, when I first put it on it looked flawless. It had a nice finish, didn't clog my pores at all. I'm also totally in love with their bronzers and several of their blushes. And I still use their felt tip eyeliner because it is great and stays on. They also have this bronze shimmer veil for face, hair, and body in an old perfum bottle type deal. It amazing, It's tropical scented and I just use it all over in the summer time because it gives a sunless tan that extra boost, makes your face glow, makes your hair all pretty and shimmery. Other than foundation, it's a really good brand. I haven't tried their mascaras though.

@Mairead aw I hate when that happens. @Jennifer thanks hopefully I can find it. @Danielle Yeah I've had that problem too with foundation making me orange. The only mineral foundations I've tried is natural beauty and elf. I didn't like the elf but I loved the natural beauty and can't find it anywhere. I had bought it a few years ago at tj maxx. Same my acne can be horrible some days and not so good on others. But my skin also gets very oily and since I work in a restuarant now my makeup doesn't stay on at all. Ooh I love tropical scented type things lol. Speaking of sunless tanners any recommendations? I have one to many different tan lines.
