Right if you like those photos then I wouldn't cut the hair shorter, curling always lifts hair a few inches so maybe a few layers for volume not a lot off the length so you can get that look.

I think that long straight hair or long hair with curly ends or volume only in the ends is better for oval faces :)

Shoulder length with layers and a side bang would be lovely. The current color is very pretty but a few shades darker would look very nice with your creamy compaction for winter. Make sure you post the results :)
