I haven't tried it but tea tree oil will help dry it out. I do believe working around all the grease and heat could be playing a role in acne and your makeup might be clogging your pores being around it.

Well it doesn't necessarily cause pimples but the reason why people will get pimples is because they are wearing a face of makeup which clogs your pores. Then the heat will irritate it. It would be the same if you wear a lot of makeup outside in the sun. The heat and sweat and clogged pores will cause you to get acne.

Be careful not to touch your face a lot. You will transfer it to your skin and that us when you start having problems. Wash your face right when you get home and get the forehead area since you most likely have to wear a hat.

I'm not sure how comfortable you are with not wearing make up to work, but maybe do the rest of your face as you normally do and leave out the foundation. While you're at work, use those face cleansing cloths periodically when you feel like you've been sweating, etc. Or just use a lighter make up, such as a mineral foundation or a BB cream (non comedogenic, of course)

Hi I'm a cosmetologist! This rumor is true! The ingredients get in the air and on your skin quite easily so its important to follow a good skin care routine! Just up your face washing/moisturizing frequency to before and after work and that should make a big difference. Do your best to keep your hands off your face as much as possible too- unless you're washing it.
