I recently went to a spa to professionally get a facial and I immediately started to wash my face the day of. Three days later, and my skin is irritated, flaky, and peeling. What are some things I should and shouldn't do after a facial? HELP.

Don't wash your face it was already deep cleaned but it shouldnt have been peeling unless you got a peel done or your skin did not agree with the products.

Don't exfoliate or go out in the sun too much. Perhaps the products they used had stronger chemicals which stripped the natural oils in your skin. Try to moisturize your face til your skin gets back to normal or go back to the spa and ask them why your skin is becoming irritated after the facial. Gl! :)

Put Organic, Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Coconut Oil on your face and sleep in it. I had a reaction to something in my last facial and within 24 hours..most of my similar issues were remedied. 48 hours later? Gone, baby, gone. Avoid parabens, dyes, scented products, moisturizer and foundation for a day or so to let your skin calm itself. You can snag the oil at any health food store or Whole Foods. Sounds like a reaction. If you are concerned about inflammation from allergies, you can try taking a Benadryl and splash cool, camomile tea on your face and let air dry. Avoid the sun for now. Good luck.
