Natural is always better. Light makeup, always use a moisturizer. Nude, neutral colors

Whatever you like most is always better. Of course, light face makeup is always better because really heavy and cakey foundation (whether liquid, cream, powder) always looks terrible. The best advice I can give you is to try new things. Go to Sephora and ask for samples that interest you. Oh, and invest in good brushes.
