I miss my long hair too!! To grow it all you should really do is actually to get it cut regularly so that there's no spilt ends. Also try to avoid blow drying or styling with heat. Condition a lot or use hair masks to improve the health of your hair and it should grow back.

I've been deep conditioning and trying to improve my hair health lately, but I also blow dry and style my hair with heat. I'll try to stay from that more often. thanks for the tip!

Try some nail, skin, and hair vitamins! They basically guarantee length in your hair, and help it grow. :)
Just be sure to do some research before you buy, and of course talk to a doctor before trying anything.
