All I know is that if you get it trimmed regularly it will grow much faster because youre getting rid of the bad ends!

Use virgin coconut oil. it is cheap and affective! put about 2 tablespoons (ranges to hair type) and rub it in your hands to make it melt. start massaging it into your scalp and if it becomes hard, that's supposed to happen! for about 40 minutes wrap your hair in a warm towel and wash it thoroughly with sulfate free shampoos and conditioners:) do this about once a week! also, don't use heat on it or not a lot of heat and use heat protection! hope this works!! :D.

Yes you need to trim it once in a great while, and I'm talking like, when you start getting ends that look fried. It's normal for every head of hair to have split ends and stuff like that. Every stylist you go to will tell you to get a trim or cut every 4-6 weeks, but that rule doesn't usually do anything for your hair. Your hair grows at a rate of one inch per month regularly, and if you get a trim that often, your hair will never grow. Other things like what Megan said the coconut oil is great, also if you use heat on your hair, use a good protectant. :) good luck!

Put it in tight ponytails or buns. That what I do and it grows faster.

^^^ you shouldn't put your hair in tight ponytails because it can cause hair breakage, just saying.
