I heard somewhere that if you put lemon juice in you hair then let it dry in the sun it'll lighten it or give it highlights. Is this true and of it is could it work for brown hair?

Yes, but its damaging. I would suggest using a lightening shampoo.

I think lemon juice is less drying and damaging than a lightening shampoo. but yes lemon juice does work for brown hair.

It does work. I use the brand Sun In. Has the same effect. I havd brown hair and it really brings out the red in my hair.
