Wanting a fancy camera for photography..

Maybe a used canon XSi from amazon for $300. anything over $500 is too much. Is getting a used camera bad?? I mean I'm going to make sure they have return if I buy it. Let me know your thoughts / tips please. 😊

Do the canon t1i or the t2i, if you're willing to spend a little more the t3i has a screen that flips out which makes selfies easy.
