Curl your lashes if desired. After wiping the excess of the brush tip, place the brush against the root of your lashes and gently wiggle side to side while drawing it to the ends :)

I curl them first. Then I put the wand at the base of my lashes and I blink while holding the brush horizontally and slightly pulling it upwards. That's what I do, it works for me, but I'm not sure if I would call it the "proper" way! Try different ways until you find one you like:)

It depends a lot on the wand imo. just try it a few times in different ways and see what works best for you. maybe you could watch some youtube videos too?
