hi everyone, hope your all having a good day. :)
Anyways, the Make-Up Designory Cosmetics School in my town is having a free makeup lesson next weekend. I'll be attending Cosmotology school this summer in hopes that one day I could become a makeup artist.
The class is free, but you do need to bring your own kit which I don't have. I do have my own makeup, such as eyeshadows I can take, brushes, blushes, lipsticks. but I obviously need more then that. Now I don't want to build my whole professional kit, but I do want to build something basic that I can use.
I do know the basics, like buying disposbale wands, tissues, disenfectant, ect. But I really need help with pretty much everything else, edspecially what to do about foundation.
any and all input would be greatly apperciated, thank you !

In the basic kit I got fro my makeup school I got (almost everything from mac, I will note if it's not from mac):
the 239 brush
the 187 brush
the 222 brush
the 210 brush
some basic powder brushes and eyebrow brushes (not from mac, think it was Crown)
Matte bronze powder
Blot Powder in Light
4 shades of Studio Sculpt foundation
Plushlash mascara
Fluidline in Blacktrack
A 3x5 palette with 8 basic shadows (can't remember the names but I can send you the names if you want)
Blushes - I got Dame and Style in the basic kit
Concealer palette from Graftobian
Russian Red lipstick
Lip pencil in Subculture and cherry
A Graftobian lip palette
I might have gotten some more but I don't have my kit with me right now, I had some products before that I use in my work, such as the Paint Pot and more colors and stuff like that. I would recommend you have a moisturizer with you in your kit and an oil-free eye makeup remover for the times you will make a mistake with an eyeliner

Yes, I got the NC15, the NW15 and NC45 and NW45, it's best to buy the lightest and the darkest shades, both yellow-based and red-based (super important to have both) and mix just the right color :) I've been trying out mixing different MAC foundations and concealers as well, so far I've made a super foundation mixing studio fix fluid with the select cover-up but I probably wouldn't use that on a client, it's just for fun and finishing what I have.
Don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions or anything :) (don't know if you can do that here but if not here then you can send me a facebook message and I will get back to you real soon :) )

thank you sooo much, really helped ! alot of people have reccommended cream foundation but i work well with liquid and will prob. buy a few drugstore shades for now.
Quick question for anyone who can answer this
Do I buy a new mascara and then use disposables for each use ? If so what are good mascaras to buy ?

About the mascara: yes, you buy a brand new one and just use disposable wands, one for each eye because you never dip the disposable wand into the mascara tube again. I use the plushlash but many of my friends from school use Maybelline mascaras and they really like them.

@Thorunn Sif T thank you so so much ! i never really thought that i'd have to use one disposable for each eye, but it makes total sence.

beatfacehoney recently uploaded a video on YouTube for beginners on how to build up their makeup kit, so I suggest watching that. It's very helpful!
