Do anyone here do oil treatment on their hair or oil their hair after wash? I started to oil my hair again just the way my grandma did mine when I was a rugrat. I also did some research on the different oils. I have read girls oil their hair when it's dry and I've heard girls oil their hair when it's wet. I only oiled my hair when it's dry but their is starting to be chore cause I am avoiding the hair dryer since it is the criminal of my dry ends which is the very reason why I'm oiling my hair in the first place. My hair takes forever to dry. My question is: Since oil and water don't mix, how do girls oil their hair when it's wet? Can it still benefit the hair?

Oh, well I have never heard of putting it in your hair when it is wet. But I suggest that you towel dry it (until it is that stage where it is almost dry but is still moist) and use the oil as a leave in conditioner!

Well, after I wash my hair and it's just a bit dry (kinda towel dry) I put in my oil. It seems to be working perfect. You should try it that way and see if it works. Your hair is gorgeous by the way!

I put oil in my hair when it is wet, mainly coconut oil, and since my hair is porous it seems to soak right in, leaving it shiny and feeling softer. For the most part, my hair is about 75% wet when I do it, but it isn't dripping wet. I think if it were dripping wet then the oil would slip out, and I think oiling you scalp, roots and ends is what benefits hair the most. In a way, our scalp is like fertilizer and oil is like the water for the hair to grow. If your roots are damaged and not well taken care of then there is no way the hair will grow in healthy
